I really love this lens in terms of design, build quality, aesthetics, color rendition... and how it looks on my EOS M and EOS M5 (pictures attached). However, I had issues with sharpness. Nothing shot seems to be sharp. Canon 50mm f1.8 which costs 3 times cheaper was sharper at similar F-stops. Even 60$ lenses bought on ebay were sharper, so I had to return back. Not sure if the problem was with my copy only though, since the other reviewer doesn't seem to have this problem.

I fell in love with my EOS m3 again because of this lens! amazing and solid lens for f/1.2 aperture results. If you don't mind manual mode then this lens is absolutely a more affordable option to other f/1.2 lens.

For Canon EOS M3: I really wanted this lens to work...f/1.2 for only $500! I knew that this was a manual focus lens and needed to be set up in the software. I followed the instructions provided, but after trying for over an hour I couldn't get the camera to take a picture. Also, the lens hood was loose...poor tolerances. Plus side is that viewing through the lens I good tell that it does have a very nice narrow depth of field and potential for good pictures. I returned this lens. I did buy the Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens, which is designed for this camera and was pleased with the bokeh.
