Bought from my local photo shop rather than here. in the chipped Nikon version, as sold here. Absolutely excellent lens, pixel sharp on 24MP sensor, very pleasant projection. Pairs with my D5300 perfectly. Does (manually) focus as close as practical, getting closer as you close the diaphragm ( Acceptable 5cm from lens front at f9, say ) which you can control from the camera.

This is an amazing lens for the money. I use mine on a Nikon but also on a Sony a7r which makes manual focusing a doddle. Having said that, use this lens at f16 and focus almost at infinity and everything is in focus anyway! Not a lens to be overused but it can produce some super images. Just have to make sure that your feet aren't in the frame sometimes :-)

Does everything that you would expect from a fisheye lens; what (pleasantly) surprised me was how good this lens is both optically and in terms of its AE interface with my Nikon D7000. I purchased as I could not justify the expense of the Nikon alternative but I have no complaints.Focusing is manual but, with the incredible depth of field available with any extreme wide angle lens, this is almost irrelevant.For most shots focusing at infinity is all that is required. Slightly slower than the Nikon 10.5mm lens but for my purposes, this isn't critical. I am delighted with this lens which represents excellent value for money.

product was recommended to us as good quality for the money. We usually buy Nkor lenses at higher costs, but have had fun practicing with it around the garden and exceptional shots inside and outside York minster. Does exactly what it says on the tin - good value and quality.

The package arrived destined for the italian market Instruction are only in english, but the Nikon section are inconsistent, mostly dedicated to the competitors Lenses must be set in a unique way otherwise the f will produce errors, then will be a black border constantly. After sorted all these little dramas, the color aberration and losing of details make these lenses a total non sense even for semiprofessional purpose Fairly well built...but lid will no be applicable without the lens shield Immediate return Hx
