Schneider Electric Ups Replacement Cartridge 55 Ups Battery Noir One Size / EU Plug 220V

Our location experiences power sags and surges. We have three SmartUPS 1500VA units to protect electronics and computer systems. This purchase was made to replace the battery in our oldest unit. Its battery provided about 5 years of highly dependable low-load protection. Over that time, it progressed to a rapid discharge state, thus requiring replacement. Another UPS will need battery replacement soon (about 4 years on it). Installation was routine. Periodic battery replacements are routine maintenance requirements for these units. In our circumstances, we see 5 years of service on them, possibly a bit longer. (Of note, per Schneider/APC, these are to be replaced every 5 years, even if no fault is shown.) I prefer the genuine article purchased directly from Schneider/APC to any generic substitute. Quick shipping and well packaged, received without damage. Functions as required.

Replaced batteries for our SUA2200 with very good results. Previously had tried a compatible brand, cost about 1/2 the price of the APC but had less than about 1/4 of the runtime. Recalibrating the UPS did take quite a long time but I had excellent [e-mail] support from the APC Tech staff throughout. Several real-world test results did correctly reflect the [updated] values shown on Power Chute status. Out of curiosity, repeated the same real-world test with the compatible battery and sure enough, the battery depleted significantly earlier [i.e. runtime was about 20 - 25% of the APC-Schneider original]. Noteworthy: Pre-sales questions were addressed in a timely fashion, although one tech had "bypassed" a key point - a second covered the needed answer promptly.

I bought quantity two of these since another review mentioned that the photo of the batteries is inaccurate. That review is misleading. The photo of those two units is *exactly* what you get when ordering a quantity of *one* of this RBC55, and it is a complete battery replacement for your compatible UPS. Don't make the same mistake I did, just get quantity of one!

APC still "relatively" easy to deal with, though harder than in the past. It was very difficult to match my existing Smart UPS to the correct battery, I had to finally call them. That was more difficult that it should have been. The battery arrived as scheduled, with a small stain on top. However, APC said that should not be an issue thru a chat. I replaced it and it appears all is well. UPS back to running just fine

Ces batteries sont nécessaires au fonctionnement de l'onduleur. Certes, elles sont onéreuses mais les dernières avaient duré près de cinq ans. La livraison a été très rapide et les batteries (très lourdes) étaient très bien emballées. Le seul sujet de préoccupation est qu'il faut apporter soi-même les anciennes batteries dans un centre de recyclage qui les accepte, le constructeur n'ayant rien prévu pour les particuliers ou les professionnels indépendants.
