Baldessarini Ambré Eau de Toilette pour homme 90 ml

Why this fragrance is not labeled as unisex is a mystery to me. It has a deep, soft, and warm sweetness that smells just like the bottle looks and definitely suits any gender. This scent is absolutely not for me, but I understand why it works for others. The more masculine and, for me, clearly better alternative to this fragrance, which I quite like, is Bvlgari Man in Black Eau de Parfum.

Bought this as a blind buy after a recommendation from another review. This is a great versatile fragrance. It can be worn year round, to the office, date night, and as a signature scent. Performance is ok but not great. It'll last most of the day with a moderate application. It's not something I could easily compare to another common fragrance. If you like Bently Black Edition, Azzaro Most Wanted by Night, DG The One, or Armani Code Profumo, you'll probably like this one. Price is great too.

My Amber No. 103 . . I REALLY LIKE THE SCENT TODAY. . And out into the Halali. The horns bent crooked. The flask deep in the coat. Whisky. Apple. Prick. Animalic. Caramel. Leather strap. Dog barking. And yet not a hint of green. . Hunting pleasure, aura. Lots of creatures. Oud like damp dogs. At the forest edge the violet, sad and bitter and oak moss weeping in the breeze. . With a step on the prick, in labdanum, so heavy, amber falls from heavy branches. And the hunt comes to an end, there's nothing more to give. A smooth six zero (6.0) shot. . For hours the hunter's talk ignites and the boar disappears into the woods. . I STILL DON'T LIKE IT VERY MUCH.

The opening expresses citrus fruits, with the red apples finding equal partners in a mandarin and whiffs of tangelos. Bright and fresh. This fresh start is soon overshadowed by a darker floral notion, mainly a violet that is well done, and is also developing some of the greenness of the violet leaves. Soon the pièce the résistance of this olfactory composition arises: a whisky impression that is a tad bland, but contributes a boozy foundation to a leather note constitute the centrepiece of the development now. It is a leather that is not very dark, not particularly smoky and without any hints of a gasoline characteristic à la Knize Ten. Still, it is quite a rich leather, like a fairly new leather coat. I get moderate sillage, excellent projection and seven hours of longevity on my skin. A lovely scent for the warmer transitional spring and autumn days, that is made of high-quality ingredients. It exudes quiet and friendly confidence. 3.5/5.
