The product I received didn’t match the description. It was supposed to be a hammer drill like the description stated but it was not a hammer drill. It is still a good drill but was not happy about that part.

Nice replacement for my old one that died after 15 years. The chuck lock takes some getting used to...I don't know why they mess with designs that aren't broke. However, a very robust, high quality drill. The light is nice, didn't have that on my old 18v one.

Husband's old DeWalt was going down so he bought this one. A nice size, lighter than his old one, made of metal instead of plastic and very easy to use. The light is brighter also. Recommend.

The drill that this replaced stopped working. This is a more powerful version. Am still using the original batteries, charger., and bag that came with the original drill. Now have three gear speeds rather than two, more motor power,. with a slightly shorter size.

The clutch was inoperative. I suspect either poor engineering design or manufacturing assembly. I tested the 991B drill/driver right out of the box by driving a drywall screw into a scrap 2x4 on a clutch setting of "1" and speed setting of "1". It should not have been able to turn the screw all the way in without slipping. The drill rapidly drove the screw in and snapped my wrist when reaching the board. So, if you want to drill holes it should do that fine. If you also plan to drive screws, TEST your 991 on low clutch settings before you ruin your project or your wrist.
