You will not be disappointed.

I have been mixing thinset and concrete buckets with it. It will also hammer through tough concrete with ease. Quality construction too, and the case comes with plenty of storage for bits and accessories. However, the speed regulator is on the trigger, which I am not a fan.

Strong enough to hammer into basement concrete

I paired this with Bosch Blue Granite bits and zipped through predrilling anchor holes in basement concrete. This is drill is good for home projects.

Worked well.

It has plenty of power for a 1/2 inch drill. The hammer drill operation made drilling in concrete much easier. Reverse does seem a little weak, but I can't see that this would be a problem since it is only used to back the bit out. I'd also like to add that it is not made in China--that made it a big plus for me. It was made in Ireland and the chuck was made in Germany. Some other Hitachi models, as well as many other name brand drills, are made in China.

Hardy drill, won't break

I had this for a little less than a year. I've drilled cement the whole time with it, setting anchor screws. It's done great, never breaks a sweat, never a hint of problem. Not a problem like the previous reviewer has encountered. I do agree, this is like a 1/2" powered product. It's not super industrial I'm guessing......but it's still running strong and I've put it through the ropes so far.
