The built-in preamplifier is not spectacular, even when cold, and with significant background noise. Mine was delivered with a warped platter. When you’ve been used to using old Dual turntables, it’s not comparable in terms of build quality. It remains beautiful and nevertheless allows us to listen to our vinyl records. I imagine that with audiophile requirements, the higher-end models must be more suitable.

I bought my Dual a few weeks ago and am absolutely delighted with the product. It's clearly great quality, well weighted, sleek and stylish. It took me a while to get the arm balance just right, but once balanced, it gives wonderful clear and rich sound.

Purchased yesterday lunchtime after good guidance from Olivia at Cambridge store. Delivered lunchtime today and up and running this afternoon. Built in pre amp enabled me to connect straight away with my old / classic Bose 5 system. Sound pick up very good and very full sounds from my tiny Bose cube speakers. Perhaps not pure HiFi but it rocks.
