Dunlop Pneus d'hiver Winter Sport 5 235/40R18 XL 95V

Great handling wet and dry. Straight ahead but also in bends. Even at 15° C no noticeable difference

Comfortable and quiet tire. Good driving characteristics on dry and wet roads. Even if you are forced into daring driving maneuvers by complete idiots, you stay safely on track. I can't say anything about driving characteristics on snow (there was none). After 20,000 km only minimal wear can be seen. Compared to summer tires, I need about 0.3 l more per 100 km. Completely content.

The structure of the tires is too soft, the whole car wobbles during steering manoeuvres, and the whole car oscillates.

I chose these tires because I had good experiences with Dunlops and last year this Winter Sport 5 tire came out first in the ADAK test. I ride 50% on country/mountain roads between 400m and 1200m altitude, so snow on the roads. This tire is really excellent in traction/braking on snowy roads. I also found it very pleasant on the highway. On wet pavement the grip is good but not extraordinary, normal. I simultaneously put the same tires on my wife's SEAT X-Perience 4x4 and she is very happy too.

I drive it sportily: these tires hold the road perfectly in tight corners taken at high speed. Steel rims, Mercedes-Benz B180 BlueEfficiency automatic.
