MR9600 is a nice design. However, I don't like what they did under the hood. Linksys removed the ability to select the channel range and tech (AX, AC, or N). The Linksys EA9500 Max-Stream™ AC5400 MU-MIMO Gigabit WiFi Router offers better range and control. It's a lot bigger for sure. I'm going to keep this router with the hope there will be updates to improve the overall range signal and the ability to select the tech and channel. This is teh main reason people like me buy the touter vs the MESH solution. We want advance controls to link devices to the latest tech. We're not looking for only a MIXED option. We are tech savvy & want control of our router!

I have a Verizon Fios Gigabit internet speed but this new router I'm getting significantly lower upload compared to Linksys WRT32AC. I've tested the speed from various range of WiFi Ax devices and results are same across all of those devices.

Does a great job in reaching through walls as my outside cameras are working much better. Great price too!

The manufacturer expects you to use a smartphone app for the device setup. To access a web configuration page, you have to click a hidden button, which is not mentioned anywhere - they only tell you about this after you call the product support. Product manual isn't helpful either. WiFi can only work in AP mode, so no client modes. With the web interface you can't even set the TX power or select WiFi channels/mode/bandwidth. Bridging setup is pretty basic, either the whole device is a bridge to WAN or it isn't. USB supports only storage devices, forget about connecting your USB modem to it. The features you can access are available in the devices of 1/5th the price, with much lower power consumption and without the hassle of contacting the Linksys support.
