Occurs to me that the terminology of a "managed" switch is being redefined. The features such as STP and SNMP one would normally expect are absent on these new switches. Stripping the complexity has not yielded a more reliable product either as when using anything more than a single VLAN some ports seemed to come up while others did not. Don't fall these nasty cheap "managed" switches, instead go for something unmanaged as at least the intended use-case is pretty clear. Shame on you TP-Link for creating such a useless product and all the other vendors follow suit in a race to the bottom (Netgear with your JGS524E).

I wanted my main home switch to be fully managed. This has all the features that a SOHO client could want.

The ports are configurable and works as described and advertised. I've configured all ports to the speeds relative to devices ported. Decent options when logged in and able to set access username and pw. Excellent product!! Would purchase another if I had a reason to......
