This head with quick plate is probably one of the most versatile, put-it-anywhere, heads I own. When coupled with the Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with Standard Stud (you remove the stud) it becomes a go anywhere, mount your camera anywhere set up. I use it mostly with speed rail but you can mount it anywhere with pipes or thick enough rails.
