Manfrotto Stabilisateur De Trépied 165MV

This is a must have for the Manfrotto tripods. This is so much more stable than the mid-spreader that comes with it. Very easy to swap.

I bought this spreader to use with a set of Vinten single stage carbon fiber legs and a Vision 10 LF head. It's a perfect fit, collapses attached to the legs, and is about one-third the cost of the comparable Vinten product. Probably not rugged enough for intense everyday use (like shooting news), but otherwise does the job. Very satisfied.

A little plasticy feeling, but hasn't caused any issues so far, though no field testing yet. Using with Libec Libec LS-60M(2C) Two-stage Carbon Fiber Tripod to get it super low to the ground. Fits pretty well, not perfect fit, but 98% fit that should function just fine.

As soon as I received delivery from B&H (on time as usually) I filmed wedding and couple musical and theatrical performances. It keeps legs on the bottom much closer as when you use middle spreader and therefore you can go higher with tripod and your footprint is smaller - exactly reasons I bought it for. You can make it wider too. Material is plastic - therefore it is lightweight, but not sure how long it will last. Will see.

Adjustment slots could be longer to allow more range, other then that its great.
