I bought this because I got a deal on a Manfrotto head, but it was the bowl type, not the flat that I needed. This product works as described and was easy to install. I use it on a monopod with a 502 head. The extra weight has pros and cons. If you're using it on a tripod I suspect the extra weight would be less noticeable.

Product was really difficult to set-up and I thought I was going crazy. It didn't come with any instructions nor are there any readily available online. I reached out to the Manfrotto and never heard back from them. In setting it up, there is a washer that helps tighten everything so it doesn't wobble, and that particular washer was manufactured about 1.5mm too thin, so when I would mount my head onto this, it would wobble and render the entire setup useless. So using my mechanical intuition (thanks to growing up building Legos without instructions) I was able to MacGyver a solution where I folded up a thick stock business card until it compensated for the gap in the washer. But if it weren't for the washer being manufactured slightly under specs, then it would be fantastic. A really solid feeling product.

I needed a way to use my 504 and 509 Manfrotto heads on a Rhino slider and this thing does the job. Before I was using a 503 head and it couldn't handle heavier cameras, but the Rhino slider can, so this was the perfect solution! It's nice and solid and only add 3 or so inches to the height above the slider. My slider screw fit the mount and the 504 head bolt screwed right onto the adapter. I love it that it can take both 75mm and 100mm ball. One reviewer complained that you couldn't level the ball on the adapter, which is true, however you should always have your slider level anyway, so not an issue using it this way. Thanks Manfrotto for thinking of ways for us to get the most out our gear!

i use this for my Rhino slider - it keeps my ball heads in place. only thing is that switching out for various makers is a pain in the butt. i recommend getting a real hihat as you can't adjust the level once it's in place.

At first I had to return this but didnt notice a part a bottom of box. This unit is great with the REDROCKMICRO One Man Crew or any slider plus Induro 100mm. I use it with my Miller Compass 25 head.
