It is a vacuum cleaner, what more is there to say. I replaced one Miele cleaner that failed after about 20 years with another. I hope this one lasts 20 years. I have used it once so far and it does the job.

The Miele Guard L1 Electro is great for cleaning a house. As a corded canister, you'll never lose power mid-session, so you can work through every room without interruption. It offers excellent pet hair pickup, and its outstanding filtration system keeps dust and allergens sealed inside rather than reintroducing them into your living space. The build quality feels sturdy and durable, so this vacuum should hold up well over years of regular use. The main limitation is general debris pickup on both bare floors and carpets, where you'll need extra passes to get a thorough clean, particularly for larger particles on hard floors.

I guess I just didn’t realize that I prefer a motorized brush roll. After using it only two or three times, I knew it wasn’t for me. Also, a bit heavy. It is a nice looking machine, however. I had it for less than two weeks and decided to sell it to my friend who was looking for this exact model. She was thrilled. Also, my interaction with the site E vacuum was great. I ordered the unit on Friday afternoon and it was on my porch the next day a little after noon.
