I got this for the USB and travel, but I was shocked to discover how much weaker it is compared to my 3 year old 3100 Series. This isn't mentioned anywhere in the description, it also comes with a single tooth brush head unlike the cheaper 3100 which came with 2 and again, it's much more powerful. This is a huge downgrade despite being a much newer product.

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter. We both love the timer and buzz to change sections in her mouth. It's allowed my freedom for independent brushing, and I have another series one that I bought for myself. Both Vian surprisingly well! I recommend this.

I have been using a new 1 button Philips Sonicare for 2 weeks. It brushes and seems to brush as well as my previous 2 buttons Philips powered toothbrush before it stopped working. The quality of the materials and lettering of the new 1 button Sonicare is inferior. The letters on the handle - of clean, sensitive, white, and the change brush and power status symbols - are all rubbing off onto the handle and onto my fingers. At this rate eventually all of the lettering will erase from my toothbrush handle within 60 days or less.
