Great lens small compact and capable . less obtrusive due to smaller size when shooting urban shots. great looking pictures,

Simple and quality of construction with good composite material, gives look to lenses of the past, the look is very pleasing and with the sharpness of today and depth of field so easy to adjust, differential focus, now called Bokeh, easily adjusted too, a fun lens for a fun camera. 40 mm works well in street and in museums, and so small it does not impose, give it a try, compares well to my pro Nikon and Omd lenses, for the price it is a wonderful, well made lens super focus, and a joy to use.

A good carry around lens, lightweight and good for low light use

This lens was recommended to me by a Getty sports photographer while have a melt down with my ftz adapter on a job. Going through the usual big dealer websites I remembered what a great experience I had dealing with HC in the past. As usual their prices were more than competitive and pulled the trigger. Now I'm still on my F mount glass so don't have anything to compare it with Z wise. That won't last for long having briefly used this lens after quick delivery. It's lighting quick in the autofocus department, pin sharp in the centre and only pixel peeping will highlight a drop off in the corners. For the money it feels well made, focus ring is smooth and F all for a crazy price. I think Nikon knew they'd draw in the F glass owners with this cheap prime. My Z Lens buying spree plan is well and truly underway.
