Paco Rabanne XS Excess est apprécié pour sa tenue, sa polyvalence et son mélange complexe de notes fraîches, herbacées et boisées. Il est masculin et pas trop sucré, adapté à de nombreuses occasions. L'ouverture peut être intense et certains le trouvent moins moderne ou un peu daté, surtout les plus jeunes. Un choix classique et fiable.

XS (1993) is a fresh, woody aromatic fougere that is versatile, smooth and a pleasure to wear. After a citrus, minty, lavender, spicy, and somewhat fruity opening that I find similar to Eternity and Chanel Platinum Egoiste, XS transitions nicely into the juniper, herbal heart that still holds a touch of green and florals before settling into a light musk, moss, vanilla, light patchouli, ambergris and wood base. Longevity is good and sillage is moderate. XS is suitable for office wear and is also a fine casual scent. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical when I first sampled this. The top notes are my least favorite stage of the fragrance, especially during the first few minutes after take off. I almost gave up on this one before I gave it a full wear. I recommend XS. Not a classic, but it smells great. Yes, this is XS and let's not "trim it" as was suggested by one esteemed critic who shall not be named. Thumbs up.

… I sit in the morning drinking my coffee, looking at my garden and getting the green herbal notes of my herb garden in my nose. I take a deep breath and enjoy this quiet half hour before the tumult in the house begins and I have to get to work. Upon spraying this perfume, a strong mint accord hits the nose, accompanied by something else green. This is followed by a citrusy and spicy note. The scent is rounded off with a mossy accord and a hint of woodiness, which makes it slightly dry. The longevity and sillage are average. This is an absolute all-rounder that can be worn by any age group and for any season and occasion. It is a scent that doesn’t really stand out or draw attention. It is masculine and may not be suitable for ladies, but they will have to judge that for themselves. Those who enjoy a spicy synthetic scent with a slight citrus note that is not too noticeable might have fun with this one.

I don’t like the new bottle/packaging it is bulky and cumbersome to use!! The fragrance is not the same it smells like it is not as potent and I have to use and apply a lot more!!

XS Paco Rabanne (black packaging) not even close to the original eau de toilette in the white/beige package. Not at all pleased with the new product.
