Plenty of power. Fits in tight places. Easy to control, especially with the handle attached. The cord is unusually supple and doesn't stick in your face when doing overhead work. The 3/8 chuck is a little stiff. I wonder how long the chuck key holder will last, seeing as you have to yank the key out and shove it back in every time you use it. And, as others have mentioned, it's all too easy to accidentally depress the large trigger, but this seems to be a common issue with other brands as well, so it might be inescapable. And I can help but think it's a bit overpriced.

Like all Makita tools, they work, they last, they're at the top of the industry for quality. The Makita right-angle drill offered access to drilling attachment holes to assembly structural framing in space limited by joist members. The Makita DA3010F right angle drill is "the equivalent of a "work-horse."

Bought this drill a while back and just used it today hanging over a wooden seawall doing repairs. Umm , if you like quality tools this is one. Runs Smooth and precise like a sewing machine. Thought it was pricey but now I love it. The compact right angle design is much nicer balance than regular drill. I have several drills but this one is so nice to use.

I just finished my first job with this drill and it's perfect for what I was doing. The low profile is just the thing for fitting into the tight spaces I was dealing with during a hand rail install. I didn't have any of the issues other reviewers described with bumping the trigger while changing out drill bits...you just need to be careful if you're not going to unplug or dial the speed control back to zero. I like the full length switch because if you're stuck in a tight enough spot to require a right angle drill, it's likely to involve some awkward position that will make getting to a more conventional switch pretty difficult. I like that it's still made in Japan and the build quality is very high. I would definitely buy it again.

I'm running all new wiring in a house built in the 1930's. The studs aren't nearly as soft as what they use nowadays but with a stubby bit it chews right through 'em. Was using a regular 3/8" drill with a long bit, but I had to drill somewhat at an angle and couldn't get into tight spaces, so I bought this. money well spent.
