Lock design appears changed from previous model. If I remember correctly, the blade pin was on the lock block itself instead of the tool shaft. When a pin shears ( I've sheared several) shaft will have to be replaced. What really gets my goat is the lack of included case. A hardcase would be great! A bag would be better than nothing. Guess I'll be going to Harbor Freight to search for a case of some sort. Had a Milwaukee case from a place I worked years ago that I thought might work; nada.

Very robust saw, bought a second for another one of my employees. Used for rugged work daily and never lets us down.

have had 3 of these and they all just got worn our over time which is acceptable for how much we use them. this one starter spitting blades out the first time we used it. after comparing pressure of the spring that holds the ball that holds the blade in this one you can move the metal lever inside the saw with your pinky. the old worn out ones we have for parts you can barely move that same lever with your thumb. popped the spring off the old one and put it on this one and now it can actually hold the blade in. i feel like they replaced a US made spring with one made in China to save a few cents.

bought to remove wall framing. This one is heavier than the smaller version I have (to be expected); however, I like that I do not have to keep recharging a battery half-way through a project.
