Bowers & Wilkins ASW610 Noir

Bought this a few weeks ago to complement my B&W 602 S2 Anniversary Edition. Dealt with Chappers in the Hull store and another colleague (who's name I didn't catch) and their service was exceptional. Even better the product came next day via DPD. Product is good, easy to unbox and setup - comes with UK and EU power plug, plus two sets of feet (spikes or rubber half domes). It's not massive nor super heavy either. I had it running in about 5 mins and after a bit of tweaking I'm happy with how it sounds in the room (~38sqm space) - plenty presence and definitely adds some low end thump to the system without being overbearing and boomy. But, without any effort, I had it shaking the walls. The instruction book isn't the best, but it has everything you need to get your baseline setup before tweaking to your own needs.

My old subwoofer stopped woofing. I replaced it with a B&W ASW610 which matches the B&W speakers I already have tied to a Denon AV receiver amp. Happy with the set up and the return of added bass but I did need to do a system reset with the AV to ballance the surround sound as the ASW charecteristics were different to the previous sub. I have been a life long richer sounds customer and continue to be very happy with the advice, service and prices they provide. I have reccomended Richer sounds to friends and family but do your own due dillagence and decide if they are for you. From my perspective there is much choice in the market and is I was not happy I'd go elsewhere. Don't forget they price match and VIP membership has benifits.

My previous (identical to its replacement) has been the perfect sub to complement my surround sound system for the last 12yrs. Why would I change a winning solution? Slightly modified from the original but in a good way.

This took quite a while to get the settings to be just right, I experienced some cutting out of the speaker, probably due to self-preservation but after that the bass is very nice. Has a really low frequency response and is nice and compact and fits in nicely next to my my ultra short screen projector

En complément Home Cinéma & HI-FI de mes (merveilleuses) colonnes Bowers & W 603 + central Focal sur ampli Yamaha RXV4A pour un salon de 20m2. Excellent rendu tant en HC qu'en HF. Bien étudier les réglages nécessaires. Ajoute une profondeur incontestable et impressionnante à la scène musicale à volume raisonnable, un rendu sans bavure. Stand-by automatique bienvenue et efficace. Encombrement gérable (gare aux discussions avec madame cependant...). Point faible : le design qui manque d'élégance et de finesse
