Le Canon EOS R50 Travel Kit est un appareil photo compact et léger, idéal pour voyager et débutants. L'autofocus est excellent et la qualité d'image est bonne, surtout en JPEG. Les commandes sont faciles grâce à l'écran tactile. Le principal inconvénient est le choix limité d'objectifs RF-S, et l'objectif kit est médiocre. L'appareil n'est pas étanche et l'autonomie est moyenne, donc une batterie supplémentaire est recommandée. La compatibilité avec les objectifs EF est un plus. Globalement, c'est un bon choix pour ceux qui cherchent un appareil léger et facile à utiliser, mais les options d'objectifs et la qualité de construction sont des limites.
