This is a replacement like for like haveing had the fist one a number of years and never had eny trouble with it and found it easy to use

Nice dash cam. Works well. Thankfully not had reason to need any footage so far.

Decent deal for a dual dash cam. Pings when you get in, pings when you get out. Wide capture to front-back, decent quality recorded footage. Easy to take indoors and connect to the laptop via the cable provided. Free editing suite does it's job. The movement sensor records well enough for when you are not in the car and saves the footage in a locked space on the memory card.Cons.......The nextbase mobile app is easilly connected to the cam but footage takes ages to load up and the GPS has never loaded up, ever.Apart from the above con, an improvement would be that if the movement sensor had been activated while you were away from the car, the system would give a little beep when you got into the car to let you know. But then again, you can get alerts in real-time if you pay and subscribe. Add on's....pay for more. That old chestnut.The above 2 points got it 4 stars.

Good recording quality and wider lens angle are an improvement over the 512GW. However, I've run into issues where it doesn't always start recording when the car is started (this seems to happen randomly), only finding out at the end of the trip. It also doesn't show the time and date on the device screen while recording, which is annoying. Overall, the downsides cancel out a lot of the improvements over the 512GW. I hope they release an updated firmware which addresses these problems, but that is doubtful considering how long it has been out already.

Very pleased with this purchase it is easy to operated producing good quality recordings.
