SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD 1TB V2

This authentic looking copy sandisks ssds quality is inferior to that of the real Sandisk unit. It’s missing its serial number and the ce markings too. Performance , it doesn’t perform like a real unit should, Read and write is slow and the risk of storing your data on this device would be unacceptably high. The packaging stated speed doesn’t match the units actual speed . I would suggest one doesn’t buy the authentic looking copy Sandisk ssd. It’s just not going to give you the experience of the real unit.

As a content creator I use tons of GBs worth of video, audio etc. I write it to one 2023 Sandisk Extreme Pro and back it up with another 2025 Sandisk Extreme Pro . The bytes transfer fast and for the most part both are very stable. I do get an occasional dropped drive (from the 2023 model) which is annoying, but other than that, they are both priceless. I do wish there was a way to get an external drive that would last forever.

Google this issue before you buy it "A problem was detected with the disk that prevents it from being unlocked." It is priced as a premium product with a premium headache, waiting to see how customer service respond to update this review.

The SSD in the package is not a SanDisk. Has no logo on disk, Drive failed during the first back up - "error in reading disk"

You plug the drive in at the USB port, and the PC can no longer see the drive, all data are gone
