The ASUS ZenWiFi BT10 is a great router if you live in a multi-level home. It delivers superb top speeds and has enough range for larger homes with multiple floors. It's suitable for your whole family streaming 4k content, downloading large files, and most other high-bandwidth activities. Since it's a mesh router, you can easily add more access points for better coverage. It has great connectivity, too, with a USB 3.0 port, a 1Gbps Ethernet port and two 10Gbps Ethernet ports.

It looks good, offers excellent performance up close or at a distance, and is simple to use thanks to an intuitive app. It’s packed with features, including security settings that don’t require a subscription, plus decent parental controls. The only real downside is the exorbitant price tag, which dents the value proposition.

With a street price of around $900, the ZenWiFi BT10 is speedy and feature-packed, but Asus is stingy with the port selection and specs at this price.

If you had rushed to get the ZenWiFi BT10 right when it was first released, you’d likely have been disappointed. In hindsight, ASUS shouldn’t have made the ZenWiFi BT10 available before its well-developed firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_36758. But that’s generally the case with the company’s Wi-Fi products. The networking vendor told me it’d soon release newer firmware updates to improve the hardware further. Hopefully, one will add the AFC support . That said, if you get ZenWiFi BT 10 today, you’ll be happy with what it has to offer. Considering the comparatively friendly cost , it’s a much better alternative to the more expensive ZenWiFi BQ16 Pro . That’s especially true if you intend to use it with wired backhauling , which you should.
