I bought this for the wifi distance very easy to set up

Not quite sure what the 1 & 2 star reviews are about. I've been using this router for a few weeks, upgrading off my previous mesh system and this product is considerably a more solid range and connection. The additional security features free for the life of the product are an added bonus. Would recommend with confidence, while on the higher price of my budget, it's great value and you get the best out of your connection and devices.

I bought this WiFi 7 Asus router to extend my network. I already have a WiFi 7 router in place, the ASUS RT-BE9700 which already provides blazing speeds expecially on the 6Ghz band but I needed and extender to give full 6Ghz coverage. Unfortunately Asus don't make a tri-band extender yet so I had to buy a single AI-Mesh node router, the Zenwifi BT8 BE14000 model and added it to my existing router to give me 5.6mbs 6Ghz coverage throughout the house. Setup was quick and simple and so far I am enjoying all the benefits such the free AI protection features of AI blocked malware and malicious sites, 2 way intrusion protection, infected device isolation, all subscription free and powered by Trend Micro for every single device in my home.

After updating and optimizing the routers, they still suffer d from intermittent connection issues. The switching of bands on the WiFi is slow to where connection is constantly lost, even if the device is stationary. Awful product with extremely shorter range than advertised, and will be returning after 2 weeks of use.
