My ScanSnap Fujitsu scanner finally died, and our IT department recommended this scanner, as it supposedly has a longer longevity than the ScanSnaps. It arrived, setup was easy enough, however this scanner just seems shoddily designed. Our IT tech even told me that they've never received one of these scanners where the buttons on it actually work; you always have to scan via the software. The software itself is awful, and never saves any defaults after the computer restarts. I'm already missing my ScanSnap deeply, and considering returning this for something better.

We have this at work. At best, this is for private use. Getting more than 10-12 pages to go through clean at a time is around the best I can average. Not for any kind of office use.

Fast & convenient scanner for our office! Hands free auto-feed makes scanning quick and easy. I like that it is compact, yet has all of the features & speed that we need! Set up was super easy!

A friend recommended this product as a quick and easy way to scan documents to a computer file folder. I haven't used it yet, but as soon as I arrange electrical connection I will start using it. I appreciate the set up and small footprint on my desk.

Full disclosure - I did not purchase this from Amazon, it is a company device and was purchased through Insight. The scan button on the control panel does not work. Our company always gets the warranty so I call HP. This was a monumental task in and of itself, their horrible website is very difficult to navigate even with a registered product, it took 30 minutes to find a number to call. Once I called, I was transferred 3 different times until I finally got to someone who is supposed to know what they are doing. That was not the case; his response was sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn’t. What a joke! This is why I won’t buy HP products myself, I wasn’t given a chance to make that decision.
