This switch is great and even better if you're into managing network traffic. Got this so that I could operate smoothly behind my Netgate 6100 security firewall hardware and the switch makes everything operate smoothly with no hiccups. Absolutely no conflicts with pfsense+ software but takes a minute to be picked up by the DHCP leasing list. Takes a little patience to configure but is worth it when the discovery tool finds it on the network.

Amazing ability at a great price point. Unit has all the functions that I need and more.

Requirement to login and share information with the vendor using an app on a phone or tablet is not acceptable and poses a severe security risk. I will be returning the unit I purchased.

I bought one of these a few years ago because of the POE PD feature.I was disappointed to find that an internet connection is required to "unlock" any useful functionality. Once you've done that, make sure you don't do the reset to factory settings because you might find that Netgear support has trouble getting you a new code. That's just the start. I had two of these fail in exactly the same way (they reboot themselves continuously after power is applied, resulting in lots of flashing light but no functionality of any kind. The replacement unit also failed.
