The unit works wonderfully well, feels comfortable in the hand. The blades are fairly simple to wash. The unit does not pull hair at all.

The older model was so good I automatically purchased this version. After one week it's gone into the bin. It just doesn't cut. It also feels cheaper which I would accept if it actually worked. I should have read the reviews before buying. Goodbye Phillips. Welcome Remington.

I wish I'd read the reviews before buying this item. My previous Philips trimmer was excellent and lasted many years so when it eventually died I just went for the current equivalent model. What a mistake! This model is so ineffective I honestly thought it was faulty until I read the reviews. Unless the hair is upright and primed for cutting this useless contraption does little more than ride right over it. Multiple passes are necessary to get anything like a barely decent cut. The cutting blade, if you can call it that, is so small and recessed I don't know what Philips were trying to achieve. The worst part is because of Noel Leeming's returns policy once you've purchased this item you're stuck with it. They won't even accept returns of unopened items. They are therefore happy to sell an item that is not fit for purpose and refuse a refund for health and hygiene reasons. No matter how bad the product is you're money is gone. Shame.
